Razvoj održive plave ekonomije ne može se graditi isključivo kroz strateške dokumente i međunarodne partnere – njegova stvarna snaga leži u znanju i iskustvu lokalnih stručnjaka koji razumiju teritorij, dionike i specifične izazove sektora.
U projektu BLUNEW upravo takvu ulogu ima Danijel Kanski – stručnjak za održivo ribarstvo, akvakulturu i plavu ekonomiju, koji djeluje kao nacionalni facilitator procesa teritorijalnog su-planiranja u Hrvatskoj.
Njegovo višegodišnje iskustvo u povezivanju očuvanja ekosustava s razvojem ekonomski održivih modela daje projektu konkretnu operativnu dimenziju. Kroz suradnju s međunarodnim institucijama poput General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM/UN), Kanski donosi u projekt najnovije spoznaje o klimatskoj prilagodbi akvakulture i otpornosti proizvodnih sustava – teme koje su od ključne važnosti za budućnost jadranskog prostora.
Kao facilitator, on povezuje javni sektor, poduzetnike, znanstvene institucije i organizacije civilnog društva, osiguravajući da razvoj transnacionalne mreže inovacija ne ostane apstraktan koncept, već odgovori na stvarne potrebe teritorija. Upravo ta kombinacija međunarodnog iskustva i lokalnog razumijevanja čini razliku između formalne mreže i funkcionalnog partnerstva.
Uspješnost i dugoročna održivost projekta BLUNEW ovisit će o tome koliko će mreža biti utemeljena na stvarnim kapacitetima i interesima lokalnih dionika. U tom kontekstu, uloga stručnjaka poput Danijela Kanskog pokazuje koliko su lokalni eksperti presudni za kvalitetno oblikovanje strateških dokumenata, realno definiranje modela upravljanja, jačanje otpornosti sektora na klimatske i tržišne izazove i stvaranje trajne suradnje i nakon završetka projekta

Why Are Local Experts the Key to the Success of the BLUNEW Project?
The development of a sustainable blue economy cannot be built solely through strategic documents and international partners—its true strength lies in the knowledge and experience of local experts who understand the territory, stakeholders, and the specific challenges of the sector.
Within the BLUNEW project, this role is carried out by Danijel Kanski—an expert in sustainable fisheries, aquaculture, and the blue economy—who acts as the national facilitator of the territorial co-planning process in Croatia.
His many years of experience in linking ecosystem conservation with the development of economically sustainable models give the project a concrete operational dimension. Through cooperation with international institutions such as the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM/UN), Kanski brings the latest insights into climate adaptation in aquaculture and the resilience of production systems—topics that are crucial for the future of the Adriatic region—into the project.
